Multiple
intelligences is a theory that challenges the notion of general intelligence.
The concept behind multiple intelligences is that people can excel in different
areas. I like the idea of multiple intelligence. It creates an opportunity for
students to be recognised for their particular talents.
I went to
the website and took the test. Here are my results:

Here
are the results of Australian girls under the age of 11:

These
aren’t the most detailed results however, it shows that my future students will
most likely be stronger than me in more than one intelligence area. Just as I
will have things to teach them, they will have things that they can teach me.
This means that the flow of information in a classroom could be more of a
two-way thing.
ICTs open
this up even more. For example, I could compensate for my lack of expertise in
certain intelligence areas by connecting students to experts through social
media or something similar.
